record release prep work

1. Posters for show & splash graphic (BEN)
2. Flyering (Ed, Sam, Quinn, Nate)
3. Rewritten one sheet (Quinn)
4. Bobble Head Owls (Quinn - I bought three online on Monday)
5. Contacting the Reader & The Onion (Quinn & Nate - Matt F. has a friend that writes for the AV section of the Onion. We'll see if we can get him to help out)

6. And we got the Cordero show at Schuba's. So...we could advertise both shows as our record release show or just Schubas. I think we're going to have to make a decision about that.


So for upcoming shows we have:
6.23 Indianapolis w/ Hanalei
7.7 Chicago @ The Note w/ Impossible Shapes
7.14 Chicago @ Schubas w/ Cordero & Mr. Rudy Day

On the horizon:
I'm trying to get some shows with Hanalei on the return leg of their west coast tour. We'll see if it works out.

May 30th is ON - S.O./M.O.M.N. & The Friendly Fasts at the Beat Kitchen.
We are practicing today.
Third - Yes. Definitely.
Ten - oh snap...I forgot number ten.

1) what's the status of the 5/30 show?

practice/show

Okay - so, no practice on Wednesday of this week b/c MSH has to use that night to get ready for May 5th @ the Viaduct w/ DPC.

Secondly - The Friendly Lens is playing Beat Kitchen on May 30th (Tues) and wants us to play. So far Ed & Ben are cool for this.

Third - Ben's going to have the art 100% finished this week.

Anything is cool for CD release. July 9th works on the benefit, but we'd have to talk to marissa and/or STV to see if she's cool with that.

The night of pitchfork fest wouldn't be too hot. i agree.

So I'm thinking Saturday June 24th might not be such a good day to play a record release show in Chicago b/c Pitchfork fest is going on that night. Maybe we should just have the release show at the Hideout on July 9th with MOMN at that benefit? Or we could just try to do something completely different all together? thoughts? anyone want to post some pron on here?
